What is office space?
Office space is a physical area suitable for a companies operations. This space can vary in size drastically, from a multi-level office complex to a small single office or a converted barn. Office space tends to have certain facilities as a standard, defined to an extent by legislation in order to make sure a work force can function efficiently. This will include lavatories, kitchen and food preparation areas, board rooms and spaces with work stations for staff. Disabled facilities and access are also a necessity.
Office space is used by different types of organisiations include large multinational companies, SMEs, small 1-2 person start-ups and charities. Office space is often open planned and is split into several work stations with a desk, computer and telephone. Alternatively the space could be used for design functions.
